Center for Educational Innovation and Improvement (CEii)
Our Vision & Mission
Our vision is to be a recognized leader and guiding force in addressing public education’s toughest problems and advancing educational equity through the transformative power of strong school/university partnerships. We strive to further our mission: to promote and advance equity, continuous improvement, and effective leadership by developing collaborative research-practice partnerships among faculty and local, state, regional, and national educational agencies and organizations.
What We Do
CEii brings together the shared expertise of research and practice to develop leadership, improve schools, and advance equity.
We foster collaborative partnerships for the purpose of promoting advancements in professional education, developing innovative solutions for current thorny problems of practice in education, and supporting collaborative research in public schools. Our aim is to ensure that faculty expertise meets the needs of the schools and districts while keeping equity at the center of our work.

This strategic plan is informed by the following core values: "Equity is the Issue," "Leadership Matters," and "Improvement is Possible."
Equity is the Issue
Vibrant and successful public education systems are achieved only when students' success cannot be predicted based on their race, class, gender, or any other marginalized identifier.
Leadership Matters
Strong, effective, and caring leadership at every level is essential to creating the systems, structures, and conditions for schools, districts, and organizations to thrive.
Improvement is Possible
We can make our schools better and more equitable by adopting and implementing a continuous improvement culture throughout our systems.
